QMJHL teams to march alongside Veterans
The Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gilles Courteau, today announced that the League and its teams are extremely proud to once again march alongside Veterans during Veterans’ Week (November 5 to 11). The celebrations kicked off in Baie-Comeau on October 28th and will continue during the second half of November.
“The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is very proud to support Veterans during Veterans’ Week for an eighth consecutive year,” said the Commissioner. “Our Veterans’ heritage is rich in pride and history and it is of the utmost importance that we recognize their devotion and the sacrifices they have made for our great Country. The Memorial Cup, which is awarded to the CHL winner since 1919, pays tribute to our Veterans and it is our duty to share their stories with future generations.”
Puck-drop ceremonies or special activities to honour our Veterans will be held during these QMJHL games.
