QMJHL officials at the 2017 CHL-NHL Camp
The 2017 edition of the CHL-NHL Officials Camp will be held in the city of Toronto from November 2 to 5. The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) will act as host of this camp, conjunctly organized with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and the Western Hockey League (WHL).
For the occasion, the QMJHL will be represented by referees Samuel Bernier and Marc-Antoine Chagnon, as well as linesmen Nicolas Boivin and Félix Sigouin.
They will be joining four other referees and four linesmen from the OHL, as well as two representatives of each coming in from the WHL. Over the four-day camp, the selected officials will benefit from numerous activities that will benefit their development.
They will be lending a helping hand to supervisors from the National Hockey League (NHL) that will be evaluating officials during OHL games, they’ll be taking in some conferences from invitees and NHL officials, and will even have on-ice sessions. The selected officials will also have a chance to visit the NHL’s famous “War Room” where all video reviews from NHL games are done.
The QMJHL would like to use this announcement to congratulate mister Bernier, Boivin, Chagnon and Sigouin for their excellent work that is being rewarded.
