Our 20’s – Acadie-Bathurst Titan
Throughout the summer, the QMJHL will summarize the journey of its 20-year-old players. Today, those of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan: Colby Huggan, François-James Buteau and Joshua Fleming.
Colby Huggan, right wing
A third-round pick of Cape Breton in 2020, Huggan spent two seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and two more with the Titan. Of his 132 points (57-75) in 199 career games, 118 (51-67) have been with the Titan, in 131 games. This season, the right winger has led his team in points (55), goals (26), assists (29), plus/minus (+23), shots (199) and power-play assists (11). The man who also had 13 points in 17 QMJHL playoff games will continue his studies and career at the University of Prince Edward Island (PEI).
François-James Buteau, defenceman
A 6-foot-4, 207-pound defensive defenceman, Buteau played five seasons in the QMJHL, the last of which was in Bathurst, after stints in Cape Breton and Rouyn-Noranda. In 56 games this season, he had 15 points, to finish his junior career with 79 points (32-47) in 265 games. He added 6 points (3-3) in 23 playoff games. Buteau was a fifth-round pick (83rd) of the Eagles in 2020.
Joshua Fleming, goaltender
Never drafted in the QMJHL, Fleming spent his entire four-year career with the Titan. Among goaltenders in team history, he ranks third in wins with 55 and fourth in games played with 133. This season, he had personal bests in games played (53), wins (29), goals-against-average (3.08), save percentage (.908) and shutouts (2). His performances earned him a spot on the NCAA’s Penn State University Nittany Lions in 2025-2026.
