Moncton adds defender Chris Baird-Gajdos
The Moncton Wildcats have added American defender Chris Baird-Gajdos to their squad for the 2026–2027 QMJHL season.
Baird-Gajdos, 18, is a towering defenceman standing 6’3” and weighing 205 pounds. In 2025–2026, he played for the Madison Capitols of the USHL, recording 13 points in 49 games and 64 penalty minutes.
”Chris is a long, mobile defenceman who plays a pro-style game, said the Wildcats general manager, Taylor MacDougall. He has a really exciting ceiling, and the type of player and person we are excited to add to the organization.”
”I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to join a premier organization and be part of Moncton’s incredible winning culture, said Baird-Gajdos. I look forward to contributing to this team’s continued success and being part of something bigger than myself.”
This is a second significant addition to the Wildcats’ defence. On Thursday, they also announced the signing of Shayne Gould, last season’s top-scoring defenceman in the USHL. And on Monday, they acquired the rights to American defenceman Jake Boguniecki from the Gatineau Olympiques.
