Mikhail Denisov named the VAUGHN Goaltender of the Month

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today announced that Mikhail Denisov is the VAUGHN Goaltender of the Month for January.

The native of Moscow, Russia, is in the midst of his second season with the Cataractes. During the past four weeks, the goaltender recorded six wins and three losses, including one in a shootout. In just under 550 minutes of play, Denisov pushed away 203 shots while posting a .931 save percentage. His goals-against-average was a solid 1.66.

Denisov and the Cataractes have been on quite a roll. Shawinigan has now won its last seven games, with Denisov earning six of those wins.

The Cataractes currently sit first in the overall standings.
