Jean-Philippe Bérubé of the Océanic wins the John-Horman Trophy
The QMJHL is proud to announce that Jean-Philippe Bérubé, Administrative Director of the Rimouski Océanic, has won the John-Horman Trophy as Executive of the Year.
To determine the winner, the selection committee considered, among other things, creative initiatives to increase team revenues, improvements to franchise operations, as well as the club’s community involvement and visibility.
Among the initiatives, Mr. Bérubé founded a partnership between the Océanic and the Mariniers de Rimouski, a minor hockey association, which will henceforth be called the Océanic.
He also teamed up with the Société de promotion de Rimouski to spearhead new season ticket sale initiatives.
He led the team through a digital shift, automating the team’s ticket office and store, and enhanced the customer experience at the Colisée Financière Sun Life with a new sound system, new lighting, a new scoreboard and the creation of two new festive terraces during games.
