Chicoutimi Defeats Wildcats 4-1
MONCTON N.B. – The Wildcats were back on home ice last night as they hosted the visiting Chicoutimi Saguenéens. After an exciting win over the Saint John Sea Dogs on Sunday the Wildcats were looking to continue the momentum with back-to-back games this week, but were halted by Chicoutimi.

First on the board for the visitors was Daniil Sokolka, that goal coming on the power play with less than a minute remaining in the first period. In the second Wildcats forward Kelly Klima netted his fifth of the season, counting as the lone Moncton goal in tonight’s game.
Ryan Verbeek recorded the game winning goal tonight for Chicoutimi, before they added another at 17:30, and finally an empty net goal at 18:23 to make the final 4-1.
Matt Waite was in nets for Moncton tonight facing 29 shots, while Moncton managed 30 on Chicoutimi’s netminder Xavier Potvin. With the Wildcats goal tonight, Kelly Klima was awarded second star for the game.
