A message from the Commissioner
To all players, officials, hockey and administrative staffs,
The past seven days have certainly been turbulent for everyone involved. In only a few days time, our day-to-day lives have been turned upside down. I know that this period of uncertainty is difficult for you and that you have several questions. Please note that the League is here for you in order to navigate through these difficult times and that the staff at the Office of the Commissioner is working extremely hard to lessen the impact on your lives.
That said, I would like to thank you for your understanding and your cooperation under the circumstances. Through your resilience and your initiatives, you give courage and hope to your communities by being role models during this crisis.
In moments such as these, our responsibility as citizens goes beyond personal aspirations. It is important to extend our hand to help out and to continue to follow the guidelines and measures outlined by our provincial and federal government health agencies.
Thus, we will be able to limit the spread of this virus and eventually renew with everyday life as we know it. It is important for you to lead by example in your communities and, as has been mentioned in the news, to spread the message, not the virus.
Take care of yourselves during these harder times, but know that there are many more better moments ahead. Stay home and stay safe, but remain active!
Your commissioner,
Gilles Courteau
