2025-26 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 4
The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 4 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.
The Brantford Bulldogs (OHL) have climbed to the top of the mountain for the first time this season, claiming the No. 1 spot in the CHL Top-10 Rankings after a dominant 3-0-0-0 week. Brantford becomes the first OHL club to reach No. 1 in 2025-26, vaulting past the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL) and Windsor Spitfires (OHL), who round out the top three. The Bulldogs’ high-powered offence — averaging 5.63 goals per game — fueled wins over Niagara, Sudbury, and Ottawa, making them the only OHL team still unbeaten in regulation. Despite slipping to No. 2, the Armada remain the CHL’s top-scoring team (5.78 GPG) and lead the circuit with a +30 goal differential, while the Spitfires stay among the elite after earning five of six possible points last week to extend their run of Top-3 rankings to four straight weeks.
Elsewhere, a pair of clubs made notable climbs in the rankings, with the Everett Silvertips (WHL) jumping three spots to a season-best No. 4 after a perfect weekend sweep on Vancouver Island, while the Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL) rose three places to No. 7 following another strong showing that earned them five of a possible six points. Rounding out this week’s Top 10, the Prince Albert Raiders (WHL) made their 2025-26 debut at No. 10, remaining unbeaten in regulation after back-to-back home victories over Vancouver and Kamloops.

CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 4
1. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): The Brantford Bulldogs (6-0-1-1) have jumped up a couple of spots to claim the top position in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the first time during the 2025-26 season. After going a perfect 3-0-0-0 last week — the only club in the Top 10 to do so — the Bulldogs surged to the No. 1 spot behind a dominant offensive stretch in which they averaged seven goals per game. Brantford opened the week with a 7-4 win in Niagara before returning home to shut out Sudbury 6-0 and hand Ottawa its first loss of the season in an 8-5 victory, outscoring opponents 21-9 overall. The Bulldogs now boast a +22 goal differential, the second best in the OHL, and are averaging 5.63 goals per game — the best mark in the league and trailing only the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (5.78) across the CHL. Brantford also remains the only team in the OHL yet to lose in regulation and is one of just four teams across the CHL without a regulation defeat this season. Leading the charge was captain and Seattle Kraken prospect Jake O’Brien, who earned Cogeco OHL Player of the Week honours after recording eight points (4G-4A) across the three wins, highlighted by a hat-trick and five-point performance against Ottawa. The 18-year-old Toronto native now sits tied for third in OHL scoring with 13 points (5G-8A in 6 GP) and a plus-11 rating. Chicago Blackhawks prospect Marek Vanacker (8G-3A in 6 GP) also chipped in with a pair of multi-goal outings, including a hat-trick versus Ottawa, tying him for the OHL goal-scoring lead with eight, while Minnesota Wild prospect Adam Benak (3G-10A in 6GP) continued his strong start with seven points (1G-6A) over the week, matching O’Brien’s 13 points on the season. The Bulldogs will look to maintain their hold on top spot when they face Brampton in a home-and-home series this weekend as part of the OHL’s Rivalry Week.
2. Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL): Despite securing five of a possible six points last week, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (7-0-2-0) slipped one place to second in the CHL Top-10 Rankings, marking the first time in the 2025-26 season that they haven’t occupied the No. 1 spot. The Armada started their week in dominant fashion on the Rock, defeating the Newfoundland Regiment in back-to-back outings by scores of 10-4 and 5-2, before falling 4-3 in overtime on Thanksgiving Monday against the Sherbrooke Phoenix — their only blemish in an otherwise stellar stretch. Averaging over six goals per game over the past seven days, Blainville-Boisbriand remains the only team in the QMJHL without a regulation loss and one of just four CHL clubs unbeaten in regulation this season. The Armada continue to pace the CHL offensively, boasting a CHL-best +30 goal differential and averaging a league-leading 5.78 goals per game, the highest mark in the country. Vegas Golden Knights prospect Mateo Nobert (4G-9A in 7 GP) led the way with eight points (2G-6A) in three games, including a career-best five assists on Thursday against the Regiment. Top 2026 NHL Draft prospect Xavier Villeneuve (2G-11A in 9 GP) also impressed with seven points over three games, matching Nobert’s five-assist performance on Friday; his 13 points lead all QMJHL defencemen and rank second among blueliners across the CHL. Meanwhile, St. Louis Blues prospect Justin Carbonneau (6G-3A in 5 GP) has hit his stride since returning to the lineup, scoring in all three games last week while producing multi-point efforts in each to bring his season totals to six goals and nine points in five outings. The Armada will look to remain unbeaten in regulation as they host the Drummondville Voltigeurs and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on back-to-back nights before visiting Shawinigan to close out a demanding three-in-three weekend.
Games this week: vs. Drummondville (Oct. 17), vs. Rouyn-Noranda (Oct. 18), @ Shawinigan (Oct. 19)
3. Windsor Spitfires (OHL): It was another strong week for the Windsor Spitfires (9-1-1-0), who didn’t drop a game in regulation and collected five of a possible six points to remain among the CHL’s elite despite slipping one place to third in this week’s rankings. The Spitfires edged Guelph 3-2 in overtime before downing Sault Ste. Marie 4-1 on the road, with their only blemish coming in a 4-3 overtime loss to Oshawa — their first defeat of the season on home ice. Despite the minor drop, Windsor continues to rank among the CHL’s top three teams for a fourth consecutive week, backed by an OHL-leading 46 goals scored, which also ranks second across the CHL. Their +26 goal differential is the second best in the CHL, trailing only the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (+30), while their nine wins are the most of any club in the CHL so far this season. Leading the way has been top 2026 NHL Draft prospect Ethan Belchetz (8G-5A in 11 GP), who scored in all three contests last week and now has goals in six of his last seven games, pacing the OHL with eight tallies. In goal, 20-year-old netminder Joey Costanzo has been flawless, remaining undefeated at 7-0-0-0 with a sparkling 1.13 goals-against average and .947 save percentage over seven starts. As part of the OHL’s Rivalry Week, the Spitfires will look to continue their strong play when they face the Sarnia Sting in a home-and-home series this weekend.
4. Everett Silvertips (WHL): The Everett Silvertips (7-0-1-0) climbed two more places to reach a season-best fourth in the CHL Top-10 Rankings after a perfect 2-0-0-0 week on Vancouver Island. Everett extended its unbeaten-in-regulation streak with back-to-back wins over the Victoria Royals (4-1 and 2-1 OT), marking their second straight week of upward movement in the rankings — up three places this week and five in total over the past 14 days. The Silvertips are one of just two WHL teams still unbeaten in regulation, boasting a .938 points percentage, the best mark of any club in the CHL. Defensively, Everett has allowed just 17 goals in nine games, giving them the lowest goals-against average (2.13) across the entire CHL. Detroit Red Wings 2025 first-round pick Carter Bear (1G-1A in 2 GP) made an impressive season debut, earning first-star honours in Friday’s win after tallying a goal and an assist. Newly named captain and Anaheim Ducks prospect Tarin Smith (3G-4A in 7 GP) continued to lead by example, finding the scoresheet in both games and scoring the overtime winner on Saturday, bringing his totals to three goals and seven points in seven outings. Shea Busch (8G-4A in 7 GP) remained red-hot, extending his point streak to seven games with a pair of goals Friday — giving him eight on the season, tied for second in the WHL — while goaltender Raiden LeGall continued his steady play, stopping 39 of 41 shots over the weekend. His six wins this season lead all WHL netminders. The Silvertips’ road trip continues this week in British Columbia as they visit Penticton on Friday before facing the Kelowna Rockets, hosts of the 2026 Memorial Cup, on Saturday.
5. Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL): The Edmonton Oil Kings (7-2-0-0) slipped one spot in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings despite winning two of their three games, closing out their five-game road trip with a 5-2 loss to the reigning WHL champion Medicine Hat Tigers before rebounding at home in dominant fashion. The Oil Kings defeated Moose Jaw 4-1 and followed that up with an impressive 6-2 victory over Lethbridge the next night. With seven wins on the season, Edmonton sits tied for first in the WHL’s Eastern Conference and is one of just four clubs in the league to have reached seven victories so far in 2025-26. Andrew O’Neill (4G-2A in 9 GP), the 18-year-old American forward, had a consistent week as the only Oil King to register points in all three games. Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Miroslav Holinka (7G-4A in 6 GP) continued his strong form, scoring in both home wins to give him goals in five of his six appearances this season, highlighted by a career-best five-point performance (2G-3A) against Lethbridge — becoming just the 11th player in franchise history to record five or more points in a single game. Among other standouts, 2026 NHL Draft prospect Joe Iginla (4G-4A in 9 GP) picked up points in both victories and has now hit the scoresheet in four of his last five outings, while Lukas Sawchyn (3G-6A in 9 GP) contributed two goals against Lethbridge and an assist versus Moose Jaw, marking his third multi-point game in his last five. The Oil Kings will look to keep pace atop the WHL standings as they host the Portland Winterhawks tonight before heading east to face the No. 10-ranked Prince Albert Raiders and the Saskatoon Blades, who share their 7-2-0-0 record.
6. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): The Kitchener Rangers (6-2-1-0) slipped one spot in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after a mixed but resilient week that saw them go 2-1-1-0. The Rangers stumbled out of the gate with back-to-back losses — falling 3-0 on the road to Flint before dropping a 5-4 overtime decision in Sault Ste. Marie — but rebounded with two strong performances to close out their schedule. Kitchener earned a 3-1 win over Saginaw before delivering their most decisive victory of the season, a 6-1 triumph over the rival Guelph Storm on Tuesday in a matchup between the two finalists to host the 2027 Memorial Cup. The Rangers scored six unanswered goals in that statement win, led by Chicago Blackhawks prospect Jack Pridham (5G-4A in 7 GP), who recorded a game-high four points (2G-2A) and now has goals in back-to-back contests. Colorado Avalanche prospect Christian Humphreys (3G-7A in 7 GP) also had a productive week with five points (2G-3A) over his last three games, marking his fourth multi-point outing in seven appearances this season. Humphreys’ 10 points rank second on the team behind Haeden Ellis (4G-7A in 11 GP), the 18-year-old forward who leads Kitchener with 11 points and has tallied in each of the club’s last three games. Between the pipes, San Jose Sharks prospect Christian Kirsch bounced back from his first loss of the season with two stellar outings, turning aside 42 of 44 shots in wins over Saginaw and Guelph. As part of the OHL’s Rivalry Week, the Rangers will look to build on their momentum when they face the defending Memorial Cup champion London Knights in a home-and-home series this weekend.
7. Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL): The Charlottetown Islanders (8-1-1-1) climbed three spots in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after another strong showing, earning five of a possible six points with a 2-0-1-0 record. The Islanders opened the week with back-to-back home victories, edging Saint John 3-2 in overtime before blanking Newfoundland 3-0, and later fell 4-3 in overtime to the Regiment in the second half of a back-to-back. Charlottetown’s lone regulation loss this season remains against the No. 2-ranked Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, and with eight wins through 11 games, the Islanders sit atop the QMJHL with 18 points, tied for the most wins over their last 10 games (7) alongside Blainville-Boisbriand. Their .818 points percentage ranks second in the league, and they hold a seven-point lead over No. 9-ranked Chicoutimi for first place in the Eastern Conference. Ross Campbell (4G-12A in 11 GP) extended his point streak to four games after collecting points in all three contests last week, bringing his total to 16 points, good for fourth in QMJHL scoring. Between the pipes, 18-year-old Donald Hickey remains unbeaten in 2025-26, earning both wins last week — including a 34-save shutout, his first of the season — while posting a .921 save percentage, second-best in the QMJHL. Among other highlights, Nathan Leek (9G-4A in 11 GP) scored his ninth goal of the year, and William Shields (8G-3A in 11 GP) netted his first career hat trick and a four-point performance. The Islanders will look to continue their climb up the CHL Top-10 Rankings as they host Victoriaville and Val-d’Or on Thursday and Friday night.
Games this week: vs. Victoriaville (Oct. 16), vs. Val-d’Or (Oct. 17)
8. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): The Chicoutimi Saguenéens (5-2-0-1) slipped a spot in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings, though more as a result of other teams’ success than their own performance, after winning their lone game of the week – a 3-0 shutout victory over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. The Saguenéens continue to hold second place in the QMJHL’s Eastern Conference, sitting seven points back of the No. 8-ranked Charlottetown Islanders for the top spot. In their lone outing, Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Massé (7G-1A in 7 GP) and 19-year-old netminder Raphaël Précourt stood out. Massé opened the scoring just three minutes into the contest with his seventh goal of the season, which proved to be the game-winner, as the 19-year-old continued his impressive start with goals in five of his last six games. Précourt, making just his third start of the campaign, turned aside all 23 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the 2025-26 season. This week, Chicoutimi will look to build on that momentum in a home-and-home set against the Québec Remparts, hosting Friday’s matchup at Georges-Vézina Centre before visiting Québec City on Saturday.
Games this week: vs. Québec (Oct. 17), @ Québec (Oct. 18)
9 Spokane Chiefs (WHL): The Spokane Chiefs (4-4-0-0) held steady at ninth in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after winning two of three games over the past week. Following a tough pair of losses to Prince George, the Chiefs bounced back with a 4-0 shutout victory over Wenatchee and a 2-1 road win in Seattle before falling just short in a 3-2 defeat to the defending WHL champion Medicine Hat Tigers — the first stop on a five-game Alberta road trip. Sitting at .500 through eight games, Spokane will look to find consistency to stay inside the Top 10 as they navigate a challenging stretch away from home. Despite Sunday’s loss, 2027 NHL Draft prospect Carter Esler continued to shine in goal, making 30 saves against the Tigers for his third 30-plus save performance of the season. The 16-year-old netminder also recorded his second shutout of the year with a 24-save effort against Wenatchee, and his .953 save percentage currently leads all CHL goaltenders — an extraordinary feat for such a young player. Up front, 2026 NHL Draft prospect Mathis Preston (6G-4A in 8 GP) extended his early-season scoring form, netting goals in each of Spokane’s two victories and now scoring in six of eight contests this season. Playing without Seattle Kraken prospect Berkly Catton, who remains with his NHL club, the Chiefs will look to build momentum as their Alberta road swing continues this week with stops in Lethbridge, Red Deer, and Calgary.
10. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): The Prince Albert Raiders (6-0-1-0) have made their CHL Top-10 debut for the 2025-26 season, entering at No. 10 following a pair of impressive home victories over Vancouver (6-0) and Kamloops (5-2). With the two wins, the Raiders remain unbeaten in regulation, joining the No. 4-ranked Everett Silvertips as the only WHL clubs yet to lose in 60 minutes, and one of just four CHL teams to hold that distinction. Prince Albert’s .929 points percentage ranks second in both the WHL and CHL, trailing only Everett (.938), while their 16 goals against through seven games are the fewest allowed of any CHL team so far this season. Captain and defenceman Justice Christensen (3G-0A in 3 GP), having returned a couple of weeks ago from NHL camp, made an immediate impact with three goals in two games, including a two-goal effort versus Vancouver. San Jose Sharks prospect Max Heise (4G-2A in 5 GP) has also impressed early, collecting points and goals in four of his first five WHL appearances and tying for the team lead with four goals, while 2026 NHL Draft prospect Daxon Rudolph (2G-6A in 7 GP) continues to shine on the blue line, recording points in five of seven games and two assists in the win over Vancouver. The Raiders will look to build on their undefeated start and climb higher in the rankings as they host the Regina Pats and the No. 5-ranked Edmonton Oil Kings at the Art Hauser Centre this weekend.
