Maxim Massé wins the Michael-Bossy Trophy
The QMJHL is proud to announce that Maxim Massé of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens is the winner of the 2023-2024 Michael-Bossy Trophy as the Top Professional Prospect.
Last year’s Canadian Hockey League Rookie of the Year, Massé did even better this season, recording 36 goals and 39 assists for 75 points, ranking first in scoring for the Sags. At the QMJHL level, he finished eighth in goals scored and 13th overall in points. The 6’2″, 193 lb. right-winger, selected third overall in the 2022 QMJHL Draft, had 29 goals and 62 points during his rookie season.
Massé is considered the 30th top prospect in North America, according to NHL Central Scouting.

Raoul Boilard, center, Baie-Comeau Drakkar
In 68 games, Boilard led all QMJHL rookies with 40 assists and 62 points, finishing third in scoring for the mighty Drakkar. The 17-year-old center also led all first-year players with a +27 rating, 563 face-off wins and 57.6% efficiency in the face-off circle. Boilard is considered the 51st best prospect in North America according to NHL Central Scouting.
Spencer Gill, defenseman, Rimouski Océanic
Gill progressed tremendously this season, increasing his production from 4 to 46 points. He finished 10th in scoring among QMJHL defensemen, while his 12 goals were the sixth-most. The fifth overall pick of the 2022 QMJHL Entry Draft, the 6’4″, 182 lb. right-hander led all Océanic defensemen in points and finished fifth in team scoring. Gill is considered the 29th best prospect in North America, according to NHL Central Scouting.
