Wildcats Lose 2-0 in Tight Battle vs. Bathurst
The Wildcats played their second game of the weekend this afternoon against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in front of 5,804 fans at the Moncton Coliseum.
It was a tight game between the two rinks, and remained scoreless through the first and second periods. It was not until 14:45 of the final frame that the first goal was recorded, putting Bathurst on the board courtesy of Jeffrey Truchon-Viel.
Blade Mann-Dixon went to the bench in the dying minutes of the game so Moncton could send out the extra attacker, but Bathurst would end up sealing their fate with an empty net goal from Truchon-Viel, his second of the night.
Blade Mann-Dixon had 30 saves on the night while Moncton fired 33 shots on Reilly Pickard.
The Wildcats are back in action on Wednesday when they will host the Saint John Sea Dogs at 7:00 p.m.
