Wildcats Acquire Goaltender Bouchard
MONCTON N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats have traded forward Éric Léger, along with second round draft picks in both 2017 and 2018 to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in exchange for goaltender Keven Bouchard and a fourth round draft pick in 2017.
Bouchard was in nets for 21 games this season with the Drakkar, and prior to that was with Val d’Or for two seasons playing in 63 games.
The 19 year-old Quebec native is looking forward to making the move to Moncton. “I was really excited to get the news that I was going to be a part of the Moncton Wildcats, they have a great team this year and a chance to go far. I am really looking forward to coming to Moncton and getting on the ice with the team.”
Bouchard will arrive in Moncton on December 27th and will join the team at that time.
Director of Hockey Operations Roger Shannon had this to say. “We are pleased to get a big competitive goalie, drafted to the NHL by the Edmonton Oilers. Our goaltending coach Scott Munroe is looking forward to working closely with the Oilers to help Keven reach his dream of playing in the NHL someday; a win-win for everyone.”
The Wildcats would like to thank Éric Léger for his time here in Moncton and wish him all the best in Baie-Comeau.
