Vye shuts out Rocket Cats win 4-0
Wendell Vye got his first QMJHL shut out as the Moncton Wildcats downed the PEI Rocket 4-0 on Friday night at the Civic Centre in Charlottetown . The win moved the Wildcats back in first place in the Atlantic Division.

After a scoreless first period, Andrew Roski scored for Moncton at 8:53, of the second, Mark Barberio got the assist. The Cats upped the count to 2-0 at 13:32 on Matt Brown’s goal with Cameron and Barberio getting the helpers. Brandon Gormley with a power-play goal at 14:52 from Kabanov and Barberio made it 3-0 after 40 minutes.

In the third period, the Wildcats struck again with Randy Cameron scoring from Gormley at Kabanov at 7:51, the second power play goal of the game for Moncton.

Shots on goal favored the Wildcats 29-25. On the power play Moncton was 2 for 4, PEI 0 for 3.

Barberio was selected as the first star, Vye was star number two while Jimmy Oligny of the Rocket was the third star.
