Charlottetown Edge Wildcats 1- 0

The Moncton Wildcats fell just short on Sunday afternoon, as they lost 1-0 to the Charlottetown Islanders in front of 5,330 at the Moncton Coliseum.
Keven Bouchard had the start for Moncton today, while Mason MacDonald was in nets for the Islanders. It was a battle of goaltenders, with both sides making big saves to keep their team in it.
It was a scoreless first and second period until 8:40 of the third when the first goal was registered by Daniel Sprong of the Charlottetown Islanders. This marked his fifteenth of the year, coming on a feed from Dexter Weber and Samuel Blais. Moncton battled hard the whole game and ended up pulling Bouchard in the final minute for the extra attacker, but Charlottetown would hold on to win this one 1-0.
Bouchard made 35 saves on the night, while Mason MacDonald stopped all 42 Moncton shots.
First star of the game went to Islanders goaltender Mason MacDonald, second to Keven Bouchard, and third to Daniel Sprong.
The Wildcats are on the road next week as they visit three Quebec teams. They will play the Huskies on Thursday, Val D’Or on Friday and Gatineau Sunday. Their next home game is Friday March 4th at 7:00 p.m. vs. Drummondville.
