Moncton Wildcats announce Mackenzie Stewart as Head Equipment Manager
The Moncton Wildcats are pleased to welcome Mackenzie Stewart as the club’s new Head Equipment Manager, starting this 2026-27 regular season.
Stewart brings more than a decade of experience in hockey, having worked at the WHL, OHL, AHL and NHL levels. Most recently, he spent seasons as assistant equipment manager with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks.
Prior to joining the Canucks, Stewart served as head equipment manager with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League and the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. He began his junior hockey career with the Vancouver Giants, where he spent several seasons as assistant equipment manager.
“We are very excited to welcome Mackenzie to the Wildcats family,” said General Manager Taylor MacDougall “His experience, professionalism and attention to detail make him an outstanding addition to our hockey operations staff.”
As Head Equipment Manager, Stewart will oversee the club’s equipment operations and work closely with players, coaches and staff throughout the season to support the Wildcats equipment needs, both on and off the ice.
The Wildcats look forward to Mackenzie’s contributions as the organization continues its pursuit of excellence on and off the ice.
The Wildcats would like to send a special thank you to former Equipment Manager Chris MacDonald as well, for his contributions, support, and dedication to the Moncton Wildcats. His impact on the organization and the people around it has been greatly appreciated, and we wish Chris nothing but the best in his next chapter in the AHL. Thank you, Chris!
