Cats stop the Moose, 5-4 final in Halifax
The Wildcats took sole possession of first place in the Maritimes Division with their 4th victory in a row, 5-4 over the Mooseheads in Halifax before 6,500 fans at Scotiabank Centre.
First Star Julius Sumpf paced the attack with two goals, single markers went to the QMJHL scoring leader Yoan Loshing (10th), Vincent Collard (7th) and Caleb Desnoyers (4th). Veteran Connor Trenholm was instrumental with three assists and goaltender Jacob Steinman earned 2nd Star recognition, with a solid 42-save effort. Moncton improves to 9-3-1 on the season.

The Cats return home for a pair of games coming this weekend. Friday night, the Sea Dogs make their inaugural appearance at 7pm, followed by the Québec Remparts Saturday night at 7pm.
