A 4-1 win over Isles makes it 5 straight for Cats
A large crowd of 5,500 fans were not disappointed as the streaking Moncton Wildcats won a fifth straight game dropping the Charlottetown islanders 4-1 Sunday at Avenir Centre.
Charles Beaudoin (11th) and Yoan Loshing (16th) each contributed a goal and assist, with Beaudoin adding a 1st period tussle to complete the very rare ‘Gordie Howe’ hat trick. Other Wildcats scorers were Connor Trenholm (9th) and Max Barbashev (21st), who now has goals in his last 9 games.
Moncton fired 30 shots at Tye Austin, while the Islanders fired 24 at Vincent Filion who notched his 12th win of the season.

The Cats improve to 21-14-0-2 and face the 1st-overall Quebec Remparts Wednesday night at 7pm, followed by Friday night against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at 7pm. The Wildcats also visit Halifax Sunday at 2pm at Scotiabank Centre.
