MONCTON-The Blainville-Boisbriand Aramda skated out to a three goal lead in the first period and cruised to a 4-0 win over the Moncton Wildcats before just under 3300 on Thursday night at the Coliseum. THe top ranked junior club in the country improved to 9-0 to start the season while Moncton fell to 4-7.
While Frederic Bergeron was keying the offense with two goals, the Armada also got superb goaltending from Etienne Marcoux who made 22 stops for the shutout including a clear cut breakway opportunity by the Wildcats Christophe Lalonde in the first period. MIchael Poirier was solid in his first regular season action with the Wildcats.
Moncton heads out on a three game road trip starting Saturday in Rimouski, before returning home on October 18th to host Quebec.
