Preston Lounsbury wins Frank-J.-Selke Trophy
The QMJHL is proud to announce that Preston Lounsbury of the Moncton Wildcats is the winner of the Frank-J.-Selke Trophy, presented to the Most Sportsmanlike yet effective player.
The Wildcats’ top playmaker with 38 assists, Lounsbury finished fourth on the team in scoring with 57 points. To go along with a +10 rating, his seven power-play goals were the second-most in Moncton. In his second full QMJHL season, the 5’11”, 172 lb. center totaled just 6 penalty minutes.

Justin Larose, Victoriaville Tigres
In his third QMJHL season, Larose saw his production rise from 24 to 80 points, making him the Tigres’ leading scorer. He also led the team with 38 goals (5th in the QMJHL) and 17 power-play goals, ranking him second in the league. Ninth in the league in scoring, Larose totaled just 26 penalty minutes in 68 games.
Julien Paillé, Baie-Comeau Drakkar
This was Paillé’s first full QMJHL season in Baie-Comeau, following a 15-game stint in Gatineau two years ago. Paillé helped the Drakkar win the regular-season championship with a total of 27 goals and 26 assists for 53 points, sixth on the club in scoring. His 27 goals tied him with captain Isaac Dufort for third place. With a +24 rating, Paillé spent just 12 minutes in the penalty box.
