8 is great as Moncton wins again
HALIFAX-The Moncton Wildcats head to the Christmas break on an eight game winning streak. The Wildcats edged the Halifax Mooseheads 2-1 backstopped by another great performance by Alex Dubeau. The Wildcats 20th win of the season propelled them into second spot in the Maritime division.
Dubeau made 36 saves allowing the Wildcats offense to get their bearings early in the hockey game. Chris Caissy’s early second period power play goal erased a one goal deficit and then Josh Pugsley scored the lone goal of the third. Dubeau took it from there for the victory.
Moncton will enjoy a week off before returning to action next Saturday night in Saint John.
