Last year, the Halifax Mooseheads picked all-star forward Jakub Voracek with the first overall selection. He went on to score 23 goals and 86 points in 59 games. Voracek was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets with the seventh overall pick in last week-end’s NHL Entry Draft.

The Wildcats had great success with Import players in the past 11 years. With players such as Martins Karsums, Martin Bartek, Alexei Tezikov, Patrick Thoresen, John Oduya, Dimitri Kalinin, Jan Horacek, Evgeny Artyukhin and many more, we realize that Import players play a major role in a Junior team’s success.
