2024 QMJHL Draft: CSR unveils final rankings
The QMJHL Scouting Central (CSR) unveiled today its final prospect rankings for the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft presented by Fenplast, held next June 7-8 in Moncton.
Quebecer Maddox Dagenais, son of former QMJHL and NHL player Pierre Dagenais, tops the list of prospects. A towering 6’3″, 180 lb. left-handed forward, he picked up 42 goals and 39 assists in 35 games this season with the Quinte Red Devils in Ontario’s U16 AAA ranks.
Tynan Lawrence, also a left-handed forward, is ranked second after having amassed 22 goals and 27 assists in 50 games with Shattuck St. Mary’s 16U AAA team. Lawrence is the younger brother of former Mooseheads star Josh Lawrence.
Benjamin Cossette-Ayotte comes in third as the top-ranked defenseman according to the CSR. A 6′, 165 lb. right-hander, he collected 31 points in 35 games with the Trois-Rivières Estacades in the Ligue M18 AAA du Québec.
Jayden Plouffe, a left-handed forward with the Collège Esther-Blondin Phénix (LHM18AAAQ), and Cameron Chartrand, a right-handed defenseman with the Bishop Kearney Selects (15U AAA), round out the Top 5 on the list.

The QMJHL Draft Lottery revealed the Top 5 selections of the upcoming draft: the Cape Breton Eagles have the first pick, followed by the Val-d’Or Foreurs (2nd and 3rd), the Québec Remparts (4th) and the Saint John Sea Dogs (5th).
You Halifax Mooseheads currently hold 13 picks at the upcoming draft in Moncton.
