Justin Keller is the CHL Player of the Week
Toronto – The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Kelowna Rockets forward Justin Keller is the CHL Player of the Week.
Keller recorded five goals and six points in three games, including two game winning goals during the week to help the Rockets to a 2-1 record for the week. The 19-year-old native of Summerland, British Columbia was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2004 NHL Draft.
Ryan MacDonald of the Guelph Storm was the OHL Player of the Week after giving up just one goal in two starts last week. Mathieu Aubin of the Lewiston MAINEiacs was the QMJHL’s Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals, including one game-winner, and five assists in just two games. The QMJHL’s Defensive Player of the Week was Victoriaville Tigres defenceman Maxim Noreau. Noreau notched two goals and five assists while collecting a +5 plus/minus differential.
