CHL Playoff Notebook: April 12, 2019
A pair of QMJHL clubs were eliminated from playoff action Friday:
Ontario Hockey League
Netminder Matthew Villalta withstood a 43-shot barrage, allowing just two goals as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds rallied for a 6-2 victory to push their second-round series versus the Saginaw Spirit to six games.
A two-goal effort by Montreal Canadiens prospect Nick Suzuki, including an empty netter in the dying seconds, sealed a 3-1 win for the Guelph Storm as the team drew within one of the London Knights through five games.

Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxime Comtois notched the game winner midway through the second overtime period in a 3-2 win as the Drummondville Voltigeurs ousted the Sherbrooke Phoenix in five games.
The Rimouski Oceanic advanced to the third round after piecing together a 5-3 win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in Game 5 in which a trio of players wrapped up the night with three-point efforts, including captain Charles-Edouard D’Astous.

A three-point night by Everett Silvertips captain Connor Dewar powered his club to a 4-1 victory as they staved off elimination in Game 4 versus the Spokane Chiefs.

The Prince Albert Raiders grabbed the series lead through five games versus the Saskatoon Blades following a 6-1 final that saw draft-eligible right-wing Brett Leason pick up three assists en route to the victory.
