CHL Playoff Notebook: May 13, 2019
Extra time was required to decide a winner of the Ed Chynoweth Cup in a thrilling Game 7 of the Western Hockey League Final:

The Prince Albert Raiders captured the Ed Chynoweth Cup for the first time in 34 years, downing the Vancouver Giants with a 3-2 overtime win in Game 7 in which right-wing Dante Hannoun played the hero for the winning side. The Raiders will now begin round robin play at the 2019 Memorial Cup presented by Kia on Friday.

Ontario Hockey League
On Sunday, the Guelph Storm were crowned the OHL playoff champions and the winner of the J. Ross Robertson Cup for the second time in six years after ousting the first-place Ottawa 67’s in six games. The win sees the Storm advance to the CHL championship for the sixth time in franchise history.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
On Saturday, the league-leading Rouyn-Noranda Huskies hoisted the President’s Cup for the second time in four seasons after defeating the 2019 Memorial Cup presented by Kia host Halifax Mooseheads in six contests. Both clubs will now compete for the CHL title.
