17 CHL players named to Czechia’s 2026 World Juniors roster
Seventeen CHL players have been named to Czechia’s roster for the 2026 World Juniors in Minneapolis, MN.
Of the 17 players named, 10 play in the WHL, five in the OHL and two in the QMJHL.
Included in the roster are nine NHL Draft picks in goaltender Jakub Milota (Blainville-Boisbriand/QMJHL), defencemen Jakub Fibigr (Brampton/OHL), Adam Jiricek (Brantford/OHL), Radim Mrtka (Seattle/WHL), Max Psenicka (Portland/WHL), forwards Adam Benak (Brantford/OHL), Max Curran (Edmonton/WHL), Adam Jecho (Edmonton/WHL) and Tomas Poletin (Kelowna/WHL).
The team will take part in a pre-tournament training camp in Bemidji, MN., Dec. 12-23 before the event begins. Czechia have medalled in the last three World Juniors where they won silver in 2023 and bronze in 2024 and 2025.
Czechia are in Group B where they will face Canada alongside Denmark, Finland and Latvia.
The 2026 World Juniors takes place Dec. 26 – Jan. 5.
