CHL to NHL: Former Knight Easton Cowan Makes Debut with Leafs
Former London Knight’s forward Easton Cowan made his NHL debut with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thanksgiving Monday.
The two time OHL champion, an OHL playoff MVP, Memorial Cup champion and Memorial Cup MVP had one shot and three hits in 14:05 in a 3-2 loss.
With the Knights Cowan scored 84 goals and 220 points in 174 games spread over four seasons. His Knights reached the OHL finals three times, winning twice where Cowan scored 32 times adding 64 assists in 60 playoff games.
The Strathroy, Ontario native had an impressive 65-game regular season point streak that started in November 2023 and ended in February 2025.
Cowan suited up for Canada twice at the World Juniors and was originally selected 28th overall by the Leafs in 2023.
