Director of Corporate Partnerships Opportunity

Scarborough, ON – The Canadian Hockey League is the largest development hockey league in the world with 60 teams in nine Canadian provinces and four American states. The CHL is made up of the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and during the 2013/14 season, welcomed almost 10 million fans into its buildings.
The Canadian Hockey League is requesting applications for the position of Director of Corporate Partnerships.
Main Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
- Manage and service all assigned partner relationships insuring contractual expectations are exceeded
- Manage corporate partner servicing team to ensure retention of existing corporate partners
- Manage corporate partner delivery team to ensure contract fulfillment
- Manage senior level client relationships
- Oversee and assist in producing all corporate partner seasonal plans
- Participate in sales process as required
- Manage and service all assigned partner relationships insuring contractual expectations are exceeded
- Develop and customize year end Return on Investment reporting for CHL clients at the national and regional levels
- Work with other departments to maximize cross-promotional opportunities, develop new and existing properties and share new ideas
- Coordinate special events including post season sponsor conferences and various other hosting initiatives
- Attend weekly meetings to review corporate partner fulfillment status, opportunities, new programs and promotions
- Assist with game operations, event management, guest services for League and special events, as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Have extensive experience in corporate partnership field, preferably in the area of client services.
- Experience in supervising highly motivated client servicing staff
- Must be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, sports management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of broadcast, print and online sales will be considered an asset
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office are essential
- A skill set that includes strong leadership, organizational, problem solvingand financial management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Being Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset
