Wenatchee, Wash. – The Wenatchee Wild announced Tuesday the signing of forward Kenta Isogai to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The product of Nagano, Japan was Wenatchee’s first-round selection in the 2023 CHL Import Draft.
Isogai joins the Wild having spent the past three seasons with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL, winning a Clark Cup championship during the 2022-23 season after recording 39 points (14G-25A) over 61 regular season contests. He added five points (1G-4A) over nine post-season contests.
“I am grateful to the Wenatchee Wild organization for giving me an opportunity, and I am excited to start a new chapter of my hockey career in the Western Hockey League,” said Isogai, who turns 19 years of age August 28. “I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and can’t wait to get things started in Wenatchee.”
Our players will be in town before we know it, and that includes our selections from this summer's Import Draft! We've officially signed our import players, starting with Kenta Isogai:
