WHL PROSPECTS NAMED MANITOBA AAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Chicken Chef West Division Player of the Week
Travis Sanheim of the Yellowhead Chiefs recorded five points and was plus-4 on the weekend and has been selected the Chicken Chef West Division Player of the Week. The 15-year-old rookie scored twice and added three helpers as the Chief split a pair of games against the Norman Northstars.
The draft pick of the Western Hockey League’s Calgary Hitmen leads the Chiefs in scoring and is currently tied for seventh in league scoring with five goals and seven assists. His 12 points is also tops among defencemen in the league.

DEKALB East Division Player of the Week
An 11-point weekend vaulted Remi Laurencelle of the Winnipeg Wild into a tie for the league scoring lead and has earned him DEKALB East Division Player of the Week honours. The second-year forward had one goal and 10 assists as the Wild won all three games last week.
Laurencelle was selected by Lethbridge Hurricanes in the 2010 WHL draft and is also the property of the Winnipeg Saints of the MJHL. In addition, he is also one of a select few player hoping to crack this year’s Team West lineup to play in the World Under 17 Challenge Tournament.
