A PAIR OF HAT-TRICKS LIFT THUNDERBIRDS TO 7-2 VICTORY OVER AMERICANS
The Seattle Thunderbirds clawed their way to within one point of the Everett Silvertips for first place in the U.S. Division standings by earning a 7-2 win. Forwards Mathew Barzal and Ryan Gropp each recorded a hat-trick to lead the Thunderbirds offence. The two forward also registered three assists between them to combine for a total on nine points in the win.

Nick Schneider turned aside 19 shots to collect the shutout and boost the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 3-0 win over the Kootenay ICE. Tigers forward Matt Bradley recorded three points (1g-2a) and a plus-2 rating to claim first star honours. Medicine Hat went 1/7 on the power play while Kootenay failed to capitalize on three power play opportunities.

Chase Witala was the hero for the Prince George Cougars as he scored in the sixth-round of a shootout to give his Club a 5-4 edge over the Vancouver Giants. Witala also tallied a pair of goals and added an assist to go along with a plus-3 rating in what was a sensational outing. Giants forward Alec Baer collected three points (1g-2a) in a losing cause.
