VLADISLAV LUKIN PRODUCES OVERTIME WINNER AS AMERICANS BEAT ROYALS 6-5
The Victoria Royals scored five goals in the first period but it was the Tri-City Americans that completed the comeback to win 6-5 in overtime. Americans forward Vladislav Lukin scored the overtime winner at the 1:38 mark of the extra frame and also added an assist to claim first star honours. Evan Sarthou came in relief of Nicholas Sanders midway through the first period and was solid in stopping 18 shots to post the win.

PATS 3, RAIDERS 4 (OT)
Reid Gardiner had a solid outing for the Prince Albert Raiders as he collected three assists before netting the overtime winner in the Raiders’ 4-3 win against the Regina Pats. Raiders forward Austin Glover had a big performance as well with four assists to go along with a plus-2 rating. Prince Albert outshot Regina by a 45-27 margin.

BLADES 2, HURRICANES 5
The Lethbridge Hurricanes took care of business in dismantling the Saskatoon Blades 5-2. Hurricanes forward Cory Millette led the offence with four points (1g-3a), including his 10th goal of the year to claim first star honours. Blades forward Terrell Draude buried a pair of goals in a losing cause.

Matt Alfaro’s short-handed goal was the difference maker as the Kootenay ICE edged the Swift Current Broncos 2-1 on Saturday. Alfaro scored his fourth goal of the season on a short-handed rush with less than two minutes remaining in the third period to break a 1-1 tie and it stood as the game winner. ICE goaltender Declan Hobbs stopped 27 shots while Broncos netminder Landon Bow countered with 22 saves.

Radel Fazleev was the hero for the Calgary Hitmen as his lone gola in a shootout was the game winner in their 4-3 nod over the Everett Silvertips. Graham Millar registered a goal and an assist for the Silvertips in a losing effort. Calgary has won four in a row.

Chase Witala scored twice as the Prince George Cougars tamed the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-2 for the road victory. It was a physical and chippy affair with the two Clubs combining for 86 minutes in penalties. Prince George was productive on special teams as they executed on the power play going 2/3 and holding Medicine Hat scoreless in nine power play opportunities.

The Kamloops Blazers offence came alive in the third period, scoring four times to erase a two goal deficit and beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-3. With the win, Kamloops has extended their season-high point streak to 10 straight games, going 7-0-3-0 over that stretch while Edmonton has lost three in a row.
