SHMYR RECORDS HAT-TRICK AS BLADES KNOCK OFF PATS 7-3
Braylon Shmyr recorded a hat-trick and chipped in with an assist to cap off a four point performance as Saskatoon defeated the Regina Pats 7-3. Connor Gay had a big night on the score sheet as well with a goal and three assists to go along with a plus-4 rating.

Carter Hart was terrific once again as the Everett Silvertips edged the Seattle Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1 on Saturday night. Silvertips forward Graham Millar potted the game winner with less than two minutes remaining in the third period.

The Kamloops Blazers doubled up the Portland Winterhawks 4-2 with both Clubs firing 43 shots on goal each. Blazers netminder Connor Ingram stopped 41 shots to claim first star honours.

Matthew Phillips scored twice to continue his spectacular rookie campaign and guide the Victoria Royals to a 4-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets. The Royals took advantage of their power play opportunities, going 3/6 on the man advantage while holding the Rockets scoreless in their four power play chances.

The Prince Albert Raiders used a balanced attack as five different skaters scored in the Club’s 5-3 nod over the Medicine Hat Tigers. Raiders captain Tim Vanstone notched two points (1g-1a) while forward Simon Stransky was named the game’s first star after tallying three helpers. Tigers forward Mason Shaw collected two points (1g-1a) and was awarded a penalty shot in the second period but was denied by Raiders goaltender Ian Scott.

The Prince George Cougars scored four times in the first period en route to a demanding 6-2 win against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Cougars forward Chase Witala recorded four points (1g-3a) to earn first star honours and teammate Jansen Harkins buried two goals to lead the offence.

WHEAT KINGS 2, REBELS 1
The Brandon Wheat Kings scored two goals late in the third period to steal a 2-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels. Wheat Kings forwards Nolan Patrick and Tyler Coulter scored goals in the final four minutes of regulation to give Brandon the win. Rebels netminders Rylan Toth turned aside 35 shots in what was a solid performance, albeit in a losing cause.

The Tri-City Americans offence came alive as they crushed the Spokane Chiefs 7-3 on Saturday night. Vladislav Lukin recorded four points (2g-2a) to go along with a plus-4 rating while Tyler Sandhu registered three points (1g-2a) for Tri-City. With the game tied 3-3 midway through the second period, the Americans scored four straight goals, including three in the third period.

HURRICANES 2, GIANTS 4
Giants defenceman Brennan Menell was all over the score sheet with a goal and two assists to lead Vancouver to a 4-2 win against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Cory Millette scored the first two goals of the game for Lethbridge but they were shut down after that as Vancouver only allowed 16 shots against for the duration of the game.
