DEBRUSK NETS A HAT-TRICK, REBELS BLOWOUT WHEAT KINGS 10-0
Red Deer scored a League-high seven goals in the opening frame as they dominated the Brandon Wheat Kings with a 10-0 shutout win. Newly acquired forward Jake DeBrusk lit the lamp three times to pick up the hat-trick and also tallied two assists to cap off a five point night and claim first star honours. Adam Helewka who was recently acquired from the Spokane Chiefs recorded four points (1g-3a) to go along with a plus-5 rating.

ICE 3, WARRIORS 4 (OT)
Dryden Hunt netted his 24th goal of the season just 39 seconds into overtime to propel the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 4-3 win over the Kootenay ICE. Zak Zborosky scored all three goals for Kootenay but it wasn’t enough as the ICE extend their losing streak to 16 in a row.

HITMEN 3, HURRICANES 4
The Lethbridge Hurricanes held on to beat the Calgary Hitmen 4-3 on Saturday night. Hurricanes defenceman Andrew Nielsen registered three assists while defenceman Arvin Atwal netted two points (1g-1a). Hitmen forward Pavel Karnaukhov scored twice to claim second star honours.
