WATSON NETS OVERTIME WINNER AS BRONCOS DOWN COUGARS 4-3
Jamal Watson buried his ninth goal of the season at the 1:52 mark in overtime to give the Swift Current Broncos a 4-3 win over the Prince George Cougars. Broncos alternate captain Max Lajoie collected two points (1g-1a) to claim first star honours. Prince George capitalized on the power play once in four tries while Swift Current went 1/7 on their power play opportunities.

HURRICANES 1, ROYALS 3
The Victoria Royals haulted the Lethbridge Hurricanes 10 game winning streak by skating to a 3-1 win on Friday night. Royals forward Jack Walker scored twice as Victoria outshot Lethbridge by a commanding 42-17 margin. Stuart Skinner was solid as he stopped 39 shots for Lethbridge in a losing cause.

Tyler Brown turned aside 28 saves to pick up the shutout and guide the Regina Pats to a 4-0 win over the Saskatoon Blades. Riley Woods led the Pats offence with two goals, including a power play marker in the opening frame. Saskatoon has dropped four in a row.

The Medicine Hat Tigers scored three times in the third period to take down the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-1. Tigers forward Matt Bradley tied the game at 1-1 with his 16th goal of the season coming midway through the third period followed by a goal from David Quenneville which stood as the game winner.

The Kelowna Rockets won their fifth in a row after clipping the Portland Winterhawks 5-3. Kelowna scored three consecutive goals on the power play to open a 5-2 lead and hang on for the win. Rockets forward Rourke Chartier scored twice while teammate Calvin Thurkauf tallied three assists. Rodrigo Abols collected a goal and an assist in a losing cause for Portland.

Ty Ronning was the hero for the Vancouver Giants as he notched the overtime winner in a 4-3 win against the Kamloops Blazers.
