The Red Deer Rebels scored three unanswered goals to erase a two-goal deficit and beat the Regina Pats by a score of 3-2 in Game 1 of their Round 2 match-up. Evan Polei buried his fourth goal of the post-season at the 7:51 mark of the final frame which stood as the game winner. Regina went 2/6 on the power play and Red Deer finished 2/5 on their man advantage chances.

The Brandon Wheat Kings fired 50 shots on goal en route to a 5-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors. Wheat Kings defenceman Ivan Provorov was named the game’s first star after registering his second goal of the playoffs and tallying a helper. Brandon leads the series 2-0 and have won six straight games overall.
