ICE AND RAIDERS COMPLETE TRADE
Cranbrook, BC — Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club tonight announced the Club has acquired 18-year-old Forward Dylan Stewart and a conditional 5th round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for 17 year-old Forward Drew Warkentine.
“Dylan Stewart will bring a veteran presence and much-needed depth to our forward corps. With only 12 forwards on our roster, we were looking to add a left-handed shot who can play all three positions up front,” added Chynoweth.
Dylan Stewart was a fifth round selection (99th overall) by the Prince Albert Raiders in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. In 80 career WHL games with Prince Albert, Stewart compiled ten points (8-2-10) and 13 penalty minutes.
Including long-term injuries, the ICE are now carrying 25 players (two Goaltenders, ten Defensemen and 13 Forwards).
