Helewka Scores Twice to lead Rebels to 5-3 Victory in Game 5, Win Series 4-1

The Red Deer Rebels are moving on to Round 2 of the WHL Playoffs after defeating the Calgary Hitmen 5-3 on Friday night. Adam Helewka netted two goals and added an assist to cap off a three point night for the Rebels. The Rebels capitalized on special teams as they converted twice on the power play in four opportunities while holding the Hitmen scoreless in three tries. Red Deer will face the Regina Pats in Round 2 of the WHL Playoffs

ROCKETS 0, BLAZERS 4
The Kamloops Blazers have forced a Game 7 against the Kelowna Rockets after blanking their B.C. Division rivals by a score of 4-0 in Game 6. Blazers forward Gage Quinney scored twice on the power play and also notched an assist while goaltender Connor Ingram collected the shutout after a 26 save performance. Game 7 is set for Monday night in Kelowna.
