PREVIEWS
Saskatoon (1) vs. Moose Jaw (3)
For the first time since the 1993 WHL Playoffs, fans will be treated to an all-Saskatchewan showdown in the Eastern Conference Championship.
No team that faced the Blades more than once in the regular season had a winning record against the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy winners, but Moose Jaw managed to tie their series with three wins each.
The six regular season tilts between the Blades and Warriors featured wild momentum swings and an average of eight goals scored per game.
Prince George (1) vs. Portland (2)
This is as close a match as you can ask for.
The Cougars and Winterhawks split their regular season series 2-2-0-0 while finishing first (Portland) and second (Prince George) in the league in goals scored.
That trend has carried over into the postseason, with Portland sitting second in goals-for with 42 and Prince George right behind with 40.
The Winterhawks are the only undefeated team still standing in the WHL Playoffs after sweeping Victoria and Everett, while the Cougars downed Spokane in four and needed five games to dispatch Kelowna in Round Two.
