Thunderbirds forward Gustafson signs with Vegas Golden Knights
It’s a feeling as good as gold.
Seattle Thunderbirds captain Jordan Gustafson has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights, Vegas General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced Wednesday.
The Ardrossan, Alta. product has 43 goals and 59 assists in 130 games over four seasons with the Thunderbirds.
Gustafson added two goals and two assists in nine playoff games to help Seattle clinch the Ed Chynoweth Cup as 2023 WHL champions before falling to the Quebec Remparts in the Memorial Cup final.
The 19-year-old was drafted in the third round, 79th overall of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
