Silvertips forward Hemmerling signs with Vegas Golden Knights
Everett Silvertips forward Ben Hemmerling has inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights.
The 19-year-old from Sherwood Park, Alta. is in his fourth season with the Silvertips, putting up 41 goals and 100 assists in 158 WHL games over that timespan.
Hemmerling was named co-captain for the 2023-24 season and is currently tied for third on the team in scoring with seven goals and 18 assists in 24 games.
The reigning Stanley Cup Champions drafted the 5’11, 174-pound forward in the sixth round, 177th overall at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Hemmerling took part in the 2023 Rookie Faceoff with Vegas in September and cracked the team’s roster for two development camps over the summer.
The Everett Silvertips currently sit second in the WHL’s U.S. division with a 16-9-1-0 record.
Everett is on the road to face the league-leading Prince George Cougars on November 27 at 7:00 p.m. PST.
