Seattle Thunderbirds sign Andrej Kukuca to WHL Standard Player Agreement
Kent, Wash. — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Bil La Forge today announced the team has signed forward Andrej Kukuca to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
The Thunderbirds selected Kukuca in the first round of the 2018 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft with the 29th overall selection.
Kukuca (pronounced: coo-coo-CHA), a forward from Slovakia, had 43 goals and 27 assists in 44 games for Trencin in the Slovakian U20 Junior League last season. In 18 playoff games last season he had 28 points (18G-10A).
The Seattle Thunderbirds start the 2018-19 WHL Regular Season against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, September 22, at 6:05 pm at the accesso ShoWare Center.
