Saskatoon to face Moose Jaw in WHL’s Eastern Conference Championship presented by Nutrien
The stage is set for a Saskatchewan showdown in the WHL Eastern Conference Championship.
After capturing the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as the WHL’s regular season champions, Saskatoon will take on the high-flying Moose Jaw Warriors in the Eastern Conference finale.
The Blades have been idle since completing a sweep of the depleted Red Deer Rebels on April 17, while the Warriors moved on with a dramatic win over the Swift Current Broncos on home ice on April 19.
Saskatoon and Moose Jaw tied their regular season series with three wins each, with all games decided in regulation time.
This will be the first time these teams have met in the postseason since Moose Jaw eliminated Saskatoon in Round One of the 2022 WHL Playoffs.
Game 1 is set for Friday, April 26 at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon at 7:00 p.m.
The series moves to Moose Jaw for Game 3 on Tuesday, April 30.
