HURRICANES WIN THRILLER ON BRYCE SALVADOR NIGHT
The Lethbridge Hurricanes won their ninth straight game as they defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-3 in overtime on a night where former Hurricanes defenceman Bryce Salvador was honoured. Brayden Burke was in on all four goals with four points (1g-3a) to go along with a plus-4 rating, claiming third star honours.

BRONCOS 2, HITMEN 6
Jackson Houck scored three times on the power play to collect the hat-trick and lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 6-2 victory over the Swift Current Broncos. Calgary took advantage of their powerplay chances as they clicked four times on seven opportunities. Hitmen forward Radel Fazleev tallied four assists and Jakob Stukel registered three points (1g-2a).

TIGERS 0, ROCKETS 4
The Kelowna Rockets outshot the Medicine Hat Tigers 47-16 en route to a 4-0 victory. Rockets goaltender Michael Herringer turned aside 16 shots to pick up the shutout while rookie defenceman Braydyn Chizen notched two points (1g-1a) including his first career WHL goal.

The Prince George Cougars swept the weekend set with the Kamloops Blazers with a 6-1 win on Saturday. Jansen Harkins notched two goals and an assist to claim first star honours. The two Clubs combined for 96 minutes in penalties in what was a chippy affair.

SILVERTIPS 1, REBELS 4
Brandon Hagel recorded three points (1g-2a) to propel the Red Deer Rebels to a 4-1 win against the Everett Silvertips. Rebels goaltender Trevor Martin was terrific as he stopped 28 of 29 Silvertips’ shots to earn his seventh win of the season.

RAIDERS 2, PATS 4
Sam Steel scored twice in the third period to break a 2-2 tie and give the Regina Pats a 4-2 nod over the Prince Albert Raiders. The Raiders outshot the Pats 33-16 but Tyler Brown was terrific in the Regina cage as he made 31 saves to earn second star honours. Prince Albert has lost three in a row.

WINTERHAWKS 5, THUNDERBIRDS 2
Alex Schoenborn scored three times to get the hat-trick and lift the Portland Winterhawks to a 5-2 road win against U.S. Division rival, the Seattle Thunderbirds. Winterhawks defenceman Jack Dougherty tallied three assists whil goaltender Adin Hill was solid with a 39 save performance. Seattle went 2/4 on the power play and Portland finished 1/3 on the man advantage.

The Spokane Chiefs picked up their second straight win against the Kootenay ICE, this time by a score of 3-1. Tyson Verhelst was named the game’s first star after putting in a solid outing with 21 saves.

WHEAT KINGS 6, BLADES 2
Reid Duke led the Brandon Wheat Kings offence with a hat-trick as they tripled up the Saskatoon Blades by a score of 6-2. Wheat Kings forward John Quenneville recorded four points (1g-3a) as Brandon outshot Saskatoon 31-20 in the contest. Blades forward Cameron Hebig buried both goals for Saskatoon in a losing cause.

GIANTS 0, ROYALS 8
The Victoria Royals dominated from start to finish as they crushed the Victoria Royals 8-0. Royals forwards Ethan Price, Matthew Phillips and Tyler Soy all scored a pair of goals each to lead the Royals offence. Griffen Outhouse was solid as the netminders stopped all 27 shots he faced to post his ninth victory and third shutout of the season.
