Brandon, Manitoba The Wheat Kings have announced their 2004 Western Hockey League pre-season schedule.r

Brandon will face off against the Moose Jaw Warriors in a home and home weekend series beginning on Friday, September 10th at the Keystone Centre, before traveling to Moose Jaw the following night.r

The Wheat Kings will then face-off against the Pats in Regina on Friday, September 17th before returning home to meet the Pats the following night.r

Brandon’s 2004-2005 regular season will get underway the following weekend with a home and home series with Regina, beginning September 24th at the Keystone Centre.r

In off-ice news, the hockey club says it’s season ticket campaign is well underway. For anyone interested in purchasing season tickets, flex-packs or the 18-game Fantastic Friday mini-packs, be sure to contact the Wheat Kings’ office at 726-3535.r

Anyone purchasing season tickets by September 15th will qualify to win tickets for two plus hotel accommodation at the 2004 World Junior Hockey Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota.r

Meanwhile the hockey club’s 12th Annual Hockey School continues this week at the Keystone. Among the instructors – Marty Murray of the Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predator defenceman Shane Hnidy.
