WHEAT KINGS UNVEIL PLAYOFF PARTNERS

Brandon, MB. – As the Brandon Wheat Kings get set to kick off the final week of the 2015-16 regular season, the Western Hockey League club is pleased to announce that four local businesses have come on board as Playoff Partners for 2016.
The Wheat Kings, who are currently battling Lethbridge for the Eastern Conference regular season title, will kick off this year’s playoffs with games one and two scheduled for Thursday and Good Friday, March 24th and 25th respectively at Westman Communications Group Place.
Presenting this year’s WHL Playoffs in Brandon will be Precision Toyota, Sunrise Credit Union, Montanas BBQ & Bar and The Brandon Sun.
In addition to playoff tickets, the four local partners will be providing western Manitoba hockey fans with special promotional pieces throughout the Wheat Kings’ playoff run.
All four have been valuable Wheat King partners for several seasons.
Tickets to games one and two next week are on sale now at the Keystone Centre box office. Fans can also order online at keystonecentre.com or by calling (204) 726-3555.
The Wheat Kings averaged over 4,700 fans during last year’s playoff run to the WHL Championship Final and six of the ten games were “sell outs” at Westman Place.
In an effort to help fans get into the playoff mood, the Wheat Kings Team Store as well as Brandon Source for Sports are now selling a special #BWKGoldRush T-shirt. The cost of the shirts are just $10 (all taxes included) while supplies last.
In addition to being available at both the Team Store and Source for Sports, fans will be able to purchase at this week’s regular season home games.
Brandon closes out the regular season with three home games this week – Tuesday vs. Swift Current, Friday against Moose Jaw and Saturday night the Wheat Kings will bring the curtain down on the regular season with its Annual Awards Night when the Regina Pats pay a visit.
While Tuesday’s game is the final “2 for Tuesday” of the season, the first 2,500 fans attending Friday’s game against the Warriors will receive a complete set of 2015-16 Wheat Kings’ player cards, courtesy of Westside Plumbing and Heating.
The Wheat Kings, who could clinch their second consecutive Eastern Conference regular season pennant on Tuesday night, would like to take this opportunity to thank this year’s Playoff Partners for their continued support.
