WHEAT KINGS UNVEIL NEW THIRD JERSEY
Brandon, Manitoba – The Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings are excited to announce that they will be unveiling their new Third Jersey at this Thursday’s Remembrance Day game against the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers.
The Wheat Kings’ new jersey is a complete redesign that sees a return to one of the club’s original colors – Wheat King Gold. The jersey features the hockey club’s BWK shield as the primary logo on the front and the traditional crown on both shoulders.
In addition to having the players debut the new jersey, western Manitoba hockey fans attending the game will have the first opportunity to purchase one. The new Third Jersey replicas will be available at both the Souvenir Shop and south end concourse display during both of this week’s games. In addition to Thursday’s afternoon game against the Tigers, the Wheat Kings will be hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday night.
Thursday’s game will feature a special salute to Manitoba Minor Hockey, presented by Koch Fertilizer Canada Limited. As well, there will be a special pre-game ceremony to observe Remembrance Day.
Brandon enters the 2-game home stand with a record of 8-11-0-1 after winning two of three games this past weekend. The Wheat Kings will be putting a 2-game home ice winning streak on the line Thursday.
Tickets to both games are on sale now at the Keystone Centre box office, by calling 726-3555 or online at ticketmaster.ca. Due to Remembrance Day, the box office will open at 1 p.m. Thursday.
