TIM HORTONS CAMP DAY
Brandon, Manitoba — This Wednesday, June 6th, will be a special day for Tim Hortons store owners, staff and customers. It’s Camp Day – the one day a year when every penny raised from coffee sales at participating Tim Hortons stores across Canada and the United States will be donated to the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation.
rEstablished in 1986, Camp Day gives customers the opportunity to buy a coffee and help send over 11,000 kids – who could not otherwise afford it – on the camping adventure of a lifetime.
rAll camp sessions are selected by Tim Hortons store owners who work closely with local youth organizations and schools to choose kids who would most benefit from an experience at camp.
rThe Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings will have “celebrity pourers” helping out Wednesday. Among them will be Willie the Wheat Kings’ mascot.
rSince 1986, Camp Day has raised over $30 million for the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation. There are currently five Tim Horton Children’s Foundation camps across Canada and one in the U.S.
rThere are three Tim Hortons locations in Brandon – 18th Street (next to Canadian Tire), Trans Canada Highway and at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
