T-Birds acquire defenseman Owen Boucher from the Prince Albert Raiders
KENT, September 28, 2023 — The Seattle Thunderbirds today announced the team has acquired Owen Boucher and a sixth-round pick in the 2025 WHL Draft from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2027 WHL Draft.
“He’s a guy we’ve identified for a long time as being a potential Thunderbird and being able to bring him in at this time is very exciting. We like his skating and his size and think it’ll add to our already strong defensive core.” says General Manager, Bil La Forge.
Drafted 157th overall by Winnipeg in the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft, Boucher has played 126 total WHL games split between Winnipeg and Prince Albert.
