T-Birds Acquire Draft Pick from Pats
Seattle sends Bateman to Regina
KENT, August 10, 2021 — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Bil La Forge announced that the team has acquired a sixth-round pick in the upcoming 2021 WHL Prospects Draft from the Regina Pats in exchange for defenseman Luke Bateman.
“We’d like to thank Luke for his time with the Seattle Thunderbirds,” said La Forge. “We wish him the best in Regina.”
Bateman has played 83 games as a T-Bird and had 2 goals and 16 assists for 18 points.
The T-Birds start the 2021-22 Western Hockey League regular season against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, October 2, at 6:00pm at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The Home Opener is Saturday, October 9, against the Winterhawks at 6:05pm at accesso ShoWare Center.
